It started with a spontaneous trip to Bali in the winter of 2012 when an Australian woman and her teenage daughters landed in Seminyak for a spot of adventure.

It was their first trip to Bali and they fell under that “Bali spell” of warm-hearted, friendly people, the colourful and exotic culture and food, beaches for miles and that euphoric sense of freedom. They knew they had to return and return they did!

Some trips later, that same woman ventured off Bali and discovered the idyllic unspoiled island paradise of Gili Gede. She fell in love with the island, its friendly and welcoming people, and her dream of a “house on the hill” blossomed and Villa Selalu was born.
